Please join us for Interpreting MoMA, our free bimonthly program for individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing, featuring a wine and cheese reception followed by a private gallery talk with sign-language interpretation of the special exhibition "Just Above Midtown: Changing Spaces." Just Above Midtown—or JAM—was an art gallery and Black space that welcomed artists and visitors of many generations and races in New York City from 1974 until 1986. Together we will discuss the artists and artworks shown at JAM and contextualize the experimental ethos that defined the gallery with the curatorial team from the Department of Media and Performance.
